Rook Framed Painting

Two arched forms, one dark and one light, make their move. Set on a dark horizon line against soft taupe, the Rook painting turns a split into a modern abstract that feels calm, grounded, and graphic. Acrylic on polyester canvas brings out layered, brushy texture, with dry-brush marks and flecks of gold tracing the center seam. A slim black frame of solid white wood keeps every edge crisp, and fir backing supports the canvas. Consider it a strong opening for a blank wall.
